Kittinhawk, a Los Angeles-based couture micro label, is comprised of one-of-a-kind vintage reconstructed jewelry and accessories. Founded in San Francisco in 2007 by designer Allysun Maria Dutra, this “slow fashion” label features the sort of apocalyptic glamour that transforms mere mortals into gothic goddesses. From the drapey, strong black dresses to the etheral headpieces clad in feathers and layered chains to crystal-embossed body harnesses and rings-Kittinhawk delivers an indelible, awe-inspiring and inspired look for whomever graces it.

Originally from San Luis Obispo, Dutra studied photography at SFSU, earning herself a BFA with a minor in Art History. She creates art through many channels, one being graphic design. All other outlets usually require her skilled craftmanship and the use of her hands. She works out of her studio in Los Angeles making designs for the dreamers.

Her work has been featured in countless magazines, some of which are Black Book, Nylon, Vogue Women’s Daily, Flaunt and Daily Candy. She has dressed various celebrities and musicians including Willow Smith, Ke$ha, Amanda Jo Williams, HAIM, Massive Attack, and Deep Vally.
